Local-First Storage

moodboards is designed as a local-first product for board content.

• Board state, layout, and related metadata are saved in your browser storage on your device.
• Image assets you add are saved locally in your browser (primarily IndexedDB and related browser storage).
• We do not provide cloud board sync or account-based storage for moodboard content at this time.

Cookies and Local Preferences

We use limited cookies and local preference storage for core app settings:

• NEXT_THEME to remember your theme preference.
• GDPR-OPT-IN to remember your cookie consent choice.
• sidebar:state to remember sidebar open/collapsed state.

We do not currently use behavioral analytics cookies to track your browsing behavior across sites.

Third-Party Requests

Depending on which features you use, the app may make requests to third parties, such as:

• YouTube (for video metadata and embeds when you add YouTube content).
• Cloudflare Turnstile (if captcha is enabled).
• Google OAuth (if Google sign-in is enabled).

Data Retention and Deletion

Local board data remains in your browser until you delete it, clear browser/site data, use browser modes that purge storage, or remove it through app actions.

Storage Risks and Recovery

Because board data is stored locally, it may be lost or become inaccessible due to browser storage limits, manual clearing, device/browser failures, private browsing restrictions, or profile resets. We do not guarantee recovery of locally stored data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
